This position is located on an offshore oil platform in Federal waters off the coast of southern California. Working 14 days on and 14 days off.

Duties include but are not limited to: Safely and efficiently performing all tasks on the rig floor and B.O.P. area under the direction and supervision of the Driller. Operating the tongs, slips, and spinners to connect and dis-connect drill pipe, tubulars, casing, and drill bits or tools. Performing all maintenance of the equipment and physical space of the drill floor. Performing rig up and down procedures, nipple up and down and care of the B.O.P. system; monitoring and operation of the shakers; assisting the Derrickman within the mud pit, mud pump and chemical sack rooms. Performing housekeeping cleaning painting and maintenance of equipment on the drill floor including BOP deck, Main Deck, shale shakers, portable panels, dry storage, mud pits, and mud pump room. Providing relief for the Derrickman; once trained.

The Floor Hand's primary work station is on the Rig floor; they work directly with the Driller ensuring compliance with all Company and safety regulations.

Essential Functions:

1. Ensuring safe and efficient rig operations to meet the company's goals and objectives, including the safety and welfare of all personnel and equipment. Maintains main deck free of trip hazards, spills.

2. Responsible for the daily inspection, use, and maintenance of safety equipment, tubular handling equipment for Drilling and Production ( H2S detection system, Well control Equipment, Accumulator, TDS, TM80, air and manual slips elevators, manual and hydraulic tongs), maintain inventory and organizing all spare parts in the store rooms.

3. Works Directly with the Driller completing daily job tasks by himself or with other floor hands following JSA, SOP, using the appropriate tools/supplies to complete the job.

4. Conducts Top Drive, Mud Pits, TM80, Accumulator, BOPE, rotary tongs, Hydraulic Tongs, Air and Manual slips, Drill Collar Safety Clams, and Rig Floor Safety Valves inspections and service.

5. Assist and trains as Derrickman or Pithand mixing mud, taking inventories of shale shaker screens, mud pump parts, on hand rig supplies, tank fluid levels and weight.

6. Assist Derrickman and Pithand keeping shale shakers, stairs portable pipe panels clean and free of trash rags etc., and

transferring fluids to the many MPT, Frack Tanks and cutting bins.

7. Maintain frequent communication with the Toolpusher and Driller, report any well issues or concerns immediately to them.

Requirements:

High School graduation or GED.

Minimum 1 year oilfield experience, offshore preferred.
