Job description

Supervises field operation of land and/or Offshore Well completion sites, either contractor or Saudi Aramco-owned, engaged in carrying out programmed work on deep or otherwise critical wells.

Has direct field responsibility for the drilling or working over of wells located anywhere in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and its territorial waters as specified in the well drilling or

workover program. Such wells may be exploratory or development and entail the search for or development of hydrocarbon deposits, principally oil and gas. The Senior Liaisonman/Foreman will supervise work on wells below 15,000 feet or wells complicated by pressure above 10,000 psi, sourgas, highly deviated, or that cost in excess of $10,000,000. The safety of rig crews and contracted service personnel numbering as high as +100 people and the loss prevention of well materials and drilling equipment valued in millions of dollars is the direct responsibility of the

position. Other responsibilities include fiscal accountability for Saudi Aramco- owned equipment and materials, timely communications with Well completion Operations headquarters and

logistical co-ordination of transportation services, materials movement, well services (Saudi Aramco and contractor supplied), water support and roads/location support.

Principal Duties:

a. Performs Unit level supervisory function at well locations remote to Operations headquarters on a 24 hour per day basis, 28 days on duty, 28 days off work schedule.

b. Directs all well operations expediently, safely and according to accepted industry practices as outlined and specified in the Well Completion program issued by the Production Engineering Dept and approved Standard Operation procedures (SOP).

c. Co-ordinates the timely ordering of required well materials, equipment and services according to the well program. Documents the receipt, usage and transfer of Saudi Aramco supplied materials and equipment. Reviews service company field tickets for accuracy of services provided and associated charges.

d. Ensures that Saudi Aramco Blowout Prevention Standards are met in all respects including equipment configuration, testing and crew response. Assures that site and personnel comply with

Saudi Aramco established safety standards and procedures.

e. On sites contracted to Saudi Aramco, assures compliance with terms, conditions and equipment/personnel as specified in the Contract.

f. Provides headquarters a complete daily report of work progress as required in the Daily Morning Report.

g. Promotes cost-savings ideas and awareness with the view toward operational optimization consistent with safely meeting well objectives.

h. Provides on-job training to less experienced personnel assigned to the site.

 

Job requirements

a. High School or completion of ITC: English, ERW; Math, MI.

b. Fifteen (15) years related experience on the well completion activities and high pressure well.

c. Proven job knowledge to handle operational responsibilities on critical wells as outlined above and demonstrated personnel attributes of sound judgment, dependability, honest work ethic and leadership.

OR

a. B.S. degree in Engineering.

b. 10 years' experience related to the well completion activities and high pressure of oil and gas wells.
