ABOUT THE ROLE

Weatherford QLD and / or NSW, Australia is current seeking a Wireline Field Engineer II Slimline. This is a Field based role operating a Slimline geophysical logging unit providing data for our customers in Qld and/or NSW. This is the intermediate level job for Field Engineer. This role acquires and develops broad knowledge and skills in a specific practice area, applies standard techniques, procedures and criteria to perform tasks for conventional products, exercises limited judgment, works on small projects or portions of larger projects. More so as the Field Engineer II, you will assist on other tasks, or performs moderate design tasks, receives close supervision, and thorough review of all work performed for application of sound professional judgment. You will be the key interface between Weatherford and the client at the job site, carrying the duties and responsibilities of completing a service job and managing a crew at the well site. This role will be reporting to the Operations Manager and Operations Supervisor

RESPONSIBILITIES and DUTIES

  • Safely operate geophysical logging unit in mining and exploration environments. 
  • Perform quality control checks on all acquired geophysical data.
  • Maintain company equipment, including logging unit and geophysical tools and associated equipment.
  • Accurate and thorough completion of job reports in a timely basis. 
  • Know and understand Weatherford Quality Policy and comply with all requirements of the Quality Systems Manual, Operating and Technical Procedures and Workplace Instructions. 
  • Must understand and comply with all safety rules and company policies of Weatherford.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS and QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS

  • 2-5+ years related experience desired
  • General mechanical skills and troubleshooting ability 
  • Self-motivator, abililty to work autonomously in remote locations
  • Good communication skills
  • MR drivers licence preferred
