Responsibilities

Weatherford have a great opportunity for an experienced Logistics Manager to join the team. The Geozone Logistics Manager will manage the integration of all processes involved in logistics and supply chain management for materials, equipment, labour, information, capital and facilities. This role is central to the smooth running of business and will encompass: transportation, shipping, freight forwarding, customs and distribution center. You will also ensure that the company conducts business with third parties who have the capability, standards and the integrity to execute at required quality service levels.

We are open to where the successful candidate is located, as long as you are near a Weatherford Facility.

Duties & Responsibilities:
  • Drive TMS system implementation/Optimization and ensure third party vendors onboarding.
  • Works closely with operational organization to understand programs and initiatives and communicate back Supply Chain opportunities, risks and costs.
  • Identifies and implements cost-saving initiatives and works closely with all areas of the supply chain to optimize the distribution network providing speed, flexibility and quality at the lowest possible costs while achieving Company's objectives, developing business model with customers, suppliers and manufacturers.
  • Responsible for delivering the Logistics Execution Plan for Projects / Contracts that include the provision for the Integrated Shipping, Freight Forwarding and Customs Clearance Contractor to be responsible for delivering the Logistics activities.
  • Responsible for preparing manpower plans associated with these Logistics Execution Plans and to ensure competent and capable personnel are selected to perform the specific duties associated with executing specific Logistics activities.
  • Maximize all opportunities to leverage synergies in: selection and utilization of transport modality; optimized usage of consolidation locations; and efficient scheduling of transport timing, to ensure the Company receives the best value for the services provided.
  • Coordinate the resources required to perform discrete Logistics audits, surveys or verification roles as might be required to endorse any Logistics activity being undertaken by an Execution Contractors and/or Logistics personnel, that may be deemed necessary.
  • Coordinates and controls the order cycle and associated information systems.
  • Launch logistics RFQ/RFP on WFRD lanes and distribution center.
  • Monitor 3 rd party vendors performance through clear KPI, QBR and operating rhythms.
  • Set up a control tower and analyses data to monitor performance and plan improvements.
  • Liaises and negotiates with customers and suppliers as well as Interfaces with Corporate, Regions and different business Units.
  • Plans, Utilizes, and coordinates transportation schedules and fleet structures in order to meet the delivery requirements for both On- and Off-shore services activities.
  • Gathers and incorporates market data into forecasts for the Logistics Assets budget.
  • Evaluates logistics plans for future exploration/appraisal and development operations, as well as to evaluate/assist in overall logistics review of operations with respect to future growth activities.
  • May participate in the preparation of the technical documentation for the tenders having logistics content.
  • Demonstrate a personal commitment to Health, Safety and the Environment.
  • Develop a Transportation Management System for Distribution that also benefits all other business units.


Qualifications

REQUIRED:
  • Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Business, Engineering, Manufacturing or related discipline.
  • Minimum 15+ years of experience in logistics, procurement, general/strategic sourcing, supply chain management, manufacturing. or similar experience.
  • Strong leadership skills including leading projects with broad scope and impact outside of department.
  • Excellent knowledge of supply chain processes.
  • Strong problem solving, negotiating, solutions orientation and presentation skills.
  • Must be capable of analyzing and solving complex problems through innovative thought.

PREFERRED:
  • Supply Chain Management certification.
  • Oil & Gas industry supply chain experience.
  • MBA in Business Administration or master's degree.
  • Excellent negotiation skills and contract management.
  • Strong product or market knowledge.
