Overview / Responsibilities

Wood is seeking a skilled and motivated Oilfield Utility Operator to join our team in ensuring the safe and efficient operations of oilfield facilities. The successful candidate will be responsible for performing a variety of tasks related to maintenance, equipment operation, and general support in the oilfield environment. This role requires a strong commitment to safety, teamwork, and the ability to adapt to changing conditions in a fast-paced setting.

Location: Kenedy, TX

Schedule: Mon-Friday; Full time 40hrs a week; T his is a locally based schedule that permits returning home every night, there are no provisions for man-camps or housing per diem. If you are open to relocating or have your own travel trailer, please confirm this in your resume. It's important to note that relocation expenses will not be covered.

Other: All offers are contingent upon clearing a full drug screen, clean background & motor vehicle history report, and a valid drivers licensce.

Responsibilities:

 

  • Able to isolate various pressures;
  • Will know how to bleed pressures off (trap pressures);
  • Ability to work in all climates;
  • Work with hands to keep the equipment maintained and clean;
  • Basic maintenance experience - including proper tool recognition;
  • Set good examples and work ethic for the hands;
  • Respect and be responsible for company equipment and tools;
  • Be willing to work weekends, if needed;
  • Be willing to work overtime, if needed;
  • Complete daily invoices and verify hands hours.

 


Skills / Qualifications

Qualifications

 

 

 

  • High school diploma or equivalent; technical or vocational training is a plus.
  • Previous experience in oilfield operations, utility maintenance, or a related field is preferred.
  • Knowledge of oilfield equipment, machinery, and basic mechanical principles.
  • Strong commitment to safety and the ability to adhere to safety protocols.
  • Physical fitness to perform tasks that may involve lifting, bending, and working in varying weather conditions.
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to work well within a team.
  • Willingness to work extended hours, weekends, and holidays when required.
  • Valid driver's license and reliable transportation to and from work sites.
