Responsibilities

In collaboration with the Cementation Sr. Application Engineer, and other Cementation Operations/Support personnel the Sr. Application Engineer has a key role in proactively supporting and assisting, Cementation sales and service. The key role focus is on document preparation, gathering and analysing data, and managing key documents which will assist Cementation PL in delivering an elevated level of service to WFRD's clients. The provision of solid market and performance data will allow the team to identify and act on specific key business targets to grow our market share. The position allows Cementation PL to be more efficient, better informed and aligned to WFRD's client requirements, allowing the team to grow the business.

Duties, Responsibilities & Accountabilities:

  • Ensure Weatherford's Quality, Health, Safety and Environmental fully implemented and sustained across all areas of responsibility.
  • Duties and responsibilities as per Technical Sales Management directives.
  • Assist in client understanding and uptake of all WFT Cementation technical capabilities by preparing relevant technical sales support documents to include, up to date, concise technical information, relevant and legible graphics, and historical data to promote sales growth by the Cementation team.
  • Prepare, file, and print high quality Visio schematics to meet all KSA Cementation technical support, sales and service quality needs and initiatives. Filing and revision levels to be maintained on all schematics and documents.
  • Assist KSA Cementation personnel in the preparation of high quality, customized, technical presentations that are aligned to client needs using current WFT document and presentation formats.
  • Update key sales presentations and marketing material in the KSA Cementation server folder using the latest WFT corporate formats, assign revision status and archive old versions.
  • Assist in the lay out of high quality KSA Cementation marketing documents, such as "Real Results" and Sales Brochures in conjunction with Sales Engineers and KSA PL management for corporate approval in a timely and on-going manner.
  • Distribute, file and promote sales support document and tools when released.
  • Maintain an up-to-date list of all CPA requests with comments and status.
  • In conjunction with operational team assist in timely CPAR closure through the provision of quality data analysis, graphic and schematics.
  • Assist operations team to ensure all CPAR information is uploaded in WPTS and filed on the local server.
  • In conjunction with management maintain a sales/technical brochure library with sufficient material to hand to support continued client sales support.
  • Assist in the building of customized customer price lists, technical manuals and other documents as required that actively promote WFT KSA Cementation as a best-in-class service provider.
  • Work with team to ensure all requested date analysis for product line services and technology for customers is completely aligned with client needs and requirements.
  • Work with KSA Cementation managers to maintain an on-going and up to date service quality (SQ) summary including all relevant data NCR status and actions that can be made immediately available to WFT KSA management.
  • Ensure the relevant KSA Cementation server folders are maintained, easy to navigate and tidy through good housekeeping practices. The filing, archiving and revision levels of key documents to be updated.
  • Engages daily with Sales Engineers, Operational Team, and management.
  • Responsible for gathering, filing, and relaying competitive and tactical information for the appropriate product line stakeholders to clearly build accurate, in-depth market share information for KSA.
  • Gather and compile and summarize competitor information including intelligence in relation to service performance, marketing material, activities, new products/technology etc. and make it available to the KSA Cementation group.
  • Assist in the preparation of technical abstracts or articles to industry publications and/or WFT intercompany magazine as required
  • Seek opportunities for involvement in the Student SPE Chapter, other similar local organizations, and other creative ways to meet and interact with the students/future clients.
  • Coaches and mentor's other product line personnel where appropriate and as instructed.
  • Follows WFT Inc.'s business objectives as outlined in the Business Management System (BMS).
  • If the position holder has Cementation field experience, they will be available for field operations on a last man out basis.
  • Liaise with Drilling Engineers, Engineering Supervisors, and Engineering General Supervisors to Discuss and prepare procedures for upcoming jobs.
  • Operations troubleshooting to address customers concerns and inquiries.
  • Liaise with Customer Engineering to identify opportunities for Trial Testing new equipment.
  • Negotiate with Engineering/Operations on Trial Test contracts.
  • Advise clients of latest developments in technology, products, and services.
  • Preparation of Bids and quotes to Customer.
  • Understand and comply with all safety rules and company policies of Weatherford.
  • Prepare job failure reports after consulting service hands. Prepare CPAR, NCR for failure incidents and coordinate with engineering in providing the required information for investigation.
  • Assure that customer down time is dealt with decisively and thoroughly.
  • Any other tasks, duties or assignments as directed by manager.


Qualifications

Required Education :

Bachelor's Degree in P etroleum or Mechinical Engineering.

Required Experience:
  • Minimum 4 years of experience in the Oil & Gas Operations or Service Industry.
  • Minimum 2 years Cementation field experience.
