We are seeking a skilled and experienced Structural Engineer on a 12-month contract in the Rotterdam area.
As a Structural Engineer, you will be responsible for working on diverse construction projects, collaborating with modelers, constructors, and multidisciplinary teams. Your primary focus will be on the structural development of projects for clients in the industrial and non-residential construction sectors. By conducting inventories and providing expert advice, you will contribute to the successful delivery of our projects.
Responsibilities:
- Designing (including complex) steel and concrete structures within projects
- Preparing, evaluating, and reviewing reports, calculations, and drawings
- Conducting technical inspections at construction sites
- Collaborating with colleagues to ensure project deliverables align with client requirements
Requirements:
- HBO degree in Architecture/HTI concrete and steel
- Minimum of 7 years of experience as an all-round constructor, with expertise in steel and concrete, particularly in industrial and non-residential construction
- Strong understanding of construction principles, mechanics, and practical insights
- Proficiency in design and detail calculations, including the use of calculation software
- Extensive experience in reviewing calculations and drawings
- In-depth knowledge of national and international regulations
- Proficiency in Office 365, as well as relevant drawing and calculation software (Scia Engineer and AutoCAD are essential; Technosoft, Tekla, and/or Revit Structure are advantageous)
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills in both Dutch and English
