We are currently seeking an experienced Electrical Engineer based in Den Haag, Netherlands on a 12-month contract. The ideal candidate will have a demonstrated track record of working on brownfield projects in the downstream refinery and chemical/petrochemical markets.
As an Electrical Engineer, your primary responsibility will be to assist the customer in developing future project scope and preparing technical documentation. You will be capable of delivering discipline-specific outputs from the front-end engineering design (FEED) stage to detailed engineering for projects of varying sizes.
Responsibilities / Requirements: - B.Sc / MSc in Electrical Engineering
- Strong technical background in power generation and LV/MV distribution systems, with particular expertise in executing medium-voltage (MV) and low-voltage (LV) switchboard (SWB) replacement works
- Site experience, including construction, commissioning, and start-up, would be desirable
- Experience in electrical engineering and design work encompassing complete electrical power systems and installations throughout the project life cycle, including concept design, FEED, and detailed design for brownfield projects
- Good knowledge and understanding of international codes, standards, and European Directives such as IEC, EN, IEEE, and ATEX
- Familiarity with Dutch NEN codes and standards
- Proficiency in reviewing power system studies (load flow, short-circuit current, and motor starting) using tools such as ETAP or Vision, and ability to review all calculations required for sizing and selection of electrical equipment
- Experience in performing various electrical activities, including the preparation of equipment specifications, requisitions, data sheets, construction packages, electrical sub-contracts, technical bid evaluation, electrical material estimates, quality checks of documents, and interpretation of circuit diagrams and schematics
- Willingness to provide technical support for site activities, with flexibility for site assignments
- Participation in inspections and factory acceptance tests (FATs)
- Proficiency in Dutch is desirable
- Minimum of 7 years of relevant discipline experience
