Job Title:- Field Specialist III - Logging while Drilling (LWD) / DDX Field Specialist

Location:- Kuwait, Al Ahmadi

Role Summary:-
Operate and maintain logging while drilling (LWD) equipment, ensuring proper functionality and calibration for accurate data collection during drilling operations.

Essential Responsibilities:-
 
  • Data Acquisition and Analysis: Monitor and interpret real-time data collected by LWD tools to evaluate wellbore conditions, formation properties, and lithology. Provide timely reports and recommendations to optimize drilling parameters and inform decision-making.
  • Technical Support and Troubleshooting: Offer on-site technical assistance and troubleshooting for LWD equipment, collaborating with the drilling team to address operational challenges, equipment malfunctions, and data quality issues. Provide guidance and training to less experienced team members.
  • Safety, Compliance, and Documentation: Follow safety protocols, adhere to industry regulations, and maintain accurate records of LWD operations, data acquisition, and equipment maintenance. Comply with HSE standards, identify and mitigate risks, and ensure timely submission of reports and deliverables to clients and management.

Qualifications/Requirements:
 
  •  A bachelor's degree in engineering or equivalent

Desired Characteristics:-
 
  • Strong knowledge of drilling techniques, equipment, and tools used in directional drilling is essential. This includes understanding downhole tools, Logging and measurement while drilling (LWD/MWD) systems, and rotary steerable systems
  • Certain certifications, such as DD Academy, MLWD academy and other LWD tools related certification
  • At least 5 years Drilling services experience
  • Proficiency in WellArchitect, advantage and Cadence softwares
  • Familiarity with safety protocols and certifications, such as HSE training, is essential
  • Knowledge of local and international drilling regulations and compliance
