Overview / Responsibilities
Wood is currently looking for a Senior Expeditor to strengthen our team in Dubai.
Responsibilities:
- Creation of daily expediting reports in the materials management system
- Expediting purchase orders daily with a priority focus
- Updating of materials management system with the expediting status of Purchase Orders
- Continually set expediting updates in the materials management system
- Chair weekly Procurement Status Review Meeting (Review of Status Report) with the Project Team
- Coordinate Post order supplier technical queries and deviation requests
- Liaison/Coordination with QA/QC International field expediting services through the Client's appointed third-party agency(s), as required
- Liaison/Coordination with QA/QC for International QA/QC support services through the Client's appointed third-party agency(s), as required
- Liaison/Coordination with QA/QC for issuance of IRN (after successful FAT/IFAT/desk review of certificate/reports)
- Liaise with field expediting suppliers to coordinate expediting visits
- Receive, review and issue field expediting progress reports and update the system accordingly
- Review expediting reports to confirm the status of orders, and sub-orders and validate the agreed manufacturing schedules
- Monitor the progress of receipt and return of supplier documentation
- Notifying Asset Focal Points of any potential schedule slippages
- Negotiate improved delivery/recovery plans where required
- Visit suppliers on request of the SCM on the project
- Maintain an auditable file of all relevant purchasing documentation for each purchase order in the relevant shared drive/area
- Demonstrate commitment to safe working practices
- Demonstrate commitment to Woods vision, values, and behaviors
- Contribution to the post-order supplier performance evaluations
Skills / Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree is required preferably in Electrical & Instrumentation
- 10 years of Industry Experience
- Minimum of 5 years of Expediting experience in the Oil and Gas industries
- The individual should have previous experience in a similar level role
