Overview / Responsibilities Wood is currently sourcing for a Completions Engineer to work as part of our Construction team. This role will be based at the Iona Gas Plant (Otway) near Port Cambell and option of WFH on occasion by negotiation, to coordinate the project completion and handover process.
Responsibilities The Completions Engineer role may vary depending on the specific assignment undertaken but would typically involve the activities below:
- Development and management of project completion process using smart completion software (PIMS)
- Work with job owners / operations to efficiently systemise projects
- Review and provide feedback on contractor documentation
- Assist to complete quality checks of site works
- Provide direction to the commissioning team to ensure timely completion
- Develop maintenance and construction work packs
- Facilitation and compilation of all necessary documentation to allow handover from projects to operations
- Preparation of Technical Queries and Site Instructions ready for approval by Asset or Project Engineers
- Provide technical support to Site Superintendents
- Drive close-out activities post project completion
Skills / Qualifications - 5 years minimum experience in the Oil and Gas/Petrochem industry in Process, Mechanical, Electrical, Instrumentation
- Completion Management qualifications desirable
- Experience managing project completion process
- Experience using completion software PIMs highly desirable
- Experience working with professional and trades personnel
- Ability to read and interpret single line, loop, Isometric and P&IDs
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Microsoft Suite experience (Word, Outlook, Excel)
- Drive for results & a passion for safety at work
