Overview / Responsibilities

Wood is currently recruiting for an entry level Roustabout/B Operator with a fast-proven record of accomplishments to support maintenance operations in from Cotulla, Yorktown to Three Rivers, TX. Roustabout will be reporting to the lead operator and foreman. As an Oilfield Roustabout/B Operator, you will play a pivotal role in our daily operations, ensuring the efficient and safe execution of tasks at our worksites. This position offers a unique opportunity to gain hands-on experience in oilfield operations while contributing to our commitment to safety and excellence.

Location: Three Rivers, TX

Schedule: 5x2 (Mon-Friday) T his is a locally based schedule that permits returning home every night, there are no provisions for man-camps or housing per diem. If you are open to relocating or have your own travel trailer, please confirm this in your resume. It's important to note that relocation expenses will not be covered.

Key Responsibilities:

 

  • Site Preparation: Assist in preparing oilfield sites for operations, including setting up equipment, materials, and safety measures.
  • Equipment Operation: Operate and maintain various oilfield equipment and machinery, including pumps, valves, and generators.
  • Maintenance: Conduct routine maintenance and inspections of equipment to ensure safe and efficient operation.
  • Assistance: Assist senior operators and technicians in their tasks, learning from their expertise and contributing to team success.
  • Safety Compliance: Strictly adhere to safety protocols, procedures, and industry regulations to maintain a safe working environment.
  • Environmental Awareness: Follow environmental protection guidelines and contribute to minimizing the environmental impact of operations.

 

  • Read and understand P&IDs
  • Read, understand and follow safety manuals
  • Has good knowledge of oil and gas processing
  • Understand how separators work
  • Understand how heat exchangers work
  • Understand basics of gas compression
  • Has basic knowledge of pumps (centrifugal and piston)
  • Can work as a group and by their self
  • Can do physical work
  • Can work at heights
  • Understands mechanics
  • Can work with a variety of tools
  • Understands lifting and rigging
  • Understands how to work around mobile equipment

 


Skills / Qualifications

 

 

 

  • Qualifications:
    • High school diploma or equivalent.
    • Previous experience in oilfield operations is preferred but not mandatory.
    • Mechanical aptitude and a willingness to learn.
    • Ability to work effectively in a team and independently.
    • Strong attention to safety and detail.
    • Physical fitness and a readiness to work in demanding outdoor environments.
    • Valid Drivers License
