NESFircroft, representing Aker Solutions Inc, is seeking to add an Administrative Assistant to Aker's corporate counsel.
Aker Solutions is located in West Houston near Beltway 8 and Westheimer.
This is a Contract position, open to local Houston candidates.
Visa sponsorship is not available for this position. 

 Position Responsibilities:
  • Assists Corporate legal personnel by overseeing day-to-day office tasks and providing general administrative support.
  • Creates/manages file records and performs data entry.
  • Prepares and designs reports and spreadsheets for management.
  • Composes and prepares routine correspondence.
  • Proofreads legal documents.
  • Arranges appointments and meetings.
  • Proofreads and finalizes minutes for meetings with various committees.
  • Maintains and updates physical and electronic filing systems.
  • Provides research as necessary.
  • Contacts and coordinates with clients to obtain any necessary information.
  • Utilize systemic thinking to solve cross-functional system level problems by using preventative measures.
  • Facilitate and integrate between groups to solve issues and optimize processes.
  • Lead the coordination of functional projects and/or departmental initiatives, including communication with internal and external resources.
  • Coordinate the development and delivery of departmental and/or project correspondence and/or presentations.
  • Develop departmental procedures.
Skills and Levels Description:
  • 5-7 years of administrative experience or equivalent combination of education and experience.3+ years of experience in legal support is a plus.
  • Remains knowledgeable of current legal procedures and terminology.
  • Apply deep and broad level of understanding of the organization, programs, and procedures related to the work of the department and/or project teams.
  • Systematic thinking and understanding of broader organizational implications.
  • Ability to develop job and/or project related procedures.
  • Ability to read, understand, and explain job related documents and procedures such as reference materials and reports.
  • Advanced proficiency in relevant software applications, including intermediate program functions in MS Office and other software where applicable.
  • Accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Ability to work in matrix environment
  • Ability to meet deadlines and mange priorities.
  • Strong written and verbal communications skills.
Education:
  • BA/BS in related field strongly preferred; a combination of education and experience will be considered.
  • Paralegal certificate not required but preferred.
Other Information:
  • 3-6 month assignment
